In 2024, Tunley Environmental carried out an Embodied Carbon Assessment (ECA) of the V1CE bamboo business card. The results showed there was a 93% increase in embodied emissions to produce the bamboo card compared to a conventional paper card. However, in the bamboo card’s use phase, after 15 scans (five minutes of smartphone usage per time), there is a quantified carbon benefit. In fact, the bamboo card longevity makes it the more sustainable option compared to printed cards. Never print business cards again! |
